    Brief overview

Potassium tripolyphosphate (KTPP) is a hygroscopic white material, granular, soluble in water, and produces a moderately alkaline solution. Potassium tripolyphosphate is a chelating agent (high quality calcium, magnesium and iron chelators in foods). Potassium tripolyphosphate is highly soluble in aqueous solution and has excellent dispersion properties. Potassium tripolyphosphate is readily soluble in water and has a solubility of 178 g, 194 g and 212 g respectively, and is dissolved in 100 mL of water at 10°C, 25°C and 50°C, respectively. Potassium tripolyphosphate has good chelating ability, can form stable chelate with Ca2+, and Mg2+ in hard water to soften hard water, increase cleaning ability and remove dirt. A white precipitate formed by adding 13 mL of a 1% calcium nitrate solution to 100 mL of a 1% solution of potassium pyrophosphate quickly chelates to give a clear appearance. Chelating agents for calcium and magnesium in foods; highly soluble in aqueous solution; excellent dispersion properties; low sodium meats, poultry, processed seafood, processed cheese, soups and sauces, noodle products, pet foods, Starch, processed blood.

    Manufacturing Process

A method for producing potassium tripolyphosphate, including neutralizing hot potassium sodium phosphate, separating insoluble matter by filtration, spraying neutralized solution with KOH, H3PO4 1.6-1.7, drying and calcining the hot flue gas. The product, and their subsequent dry wash solution give podskrubbernoy. In this method, the solution is neutralized with KOH immediately before the KOH, H3PO4 1.6-1.7 relationship and supplied to the filter where the insoluble matter is separated and supplied to the solution of the drying and calcining unit located at the top of the spray is relatively dry, the bottom shelf consists of three parts: one cold and two calcinations, i.e. the drying and calcination process is combined in one device. The flue gas entering the spray zone is carried out at a temperature of 725-750°C in the calcination zone of the flue gas at a temperature of 480-520°C. The gas feed is dried and the water is wet cleaned and discharged from the process, and the podskrubbernoy liquid is removed from the process.

    Food and Beverage Industry

It is widely used as an emulsifier in the food and beverage industry to maintain the moisture content of foods. It is also used as a preservative to extend shelf life. Other applications include softening and thickening agents to improve the quality of fruit juices.

    Chemical Industry

Potassium tripolyphosphate is used as a corrosion inhibitor in industry. It forms a protective coating on the metal surface and prevents corrosion. In the process industry, it is used to remove boiler fouling. Due to its excellent chelating properties, it is used to soften hard water, thereby removing dirt and improving the cleaning effect.

    Other Industry

It is used as an additive to soaps and detergents. Due to its dispensability, it is used for surface treatment and as a dispersant for thermal dispersants. Other applications include textile dye printing aids and preservatives in agricultural feeds.
