The production started by reacting N-methylglycine, sodium N-methylglycinate and S-methylisothiourea sulfate, with the ratio of 1:5 to 4:1, in mixture of water and ethanol under the temperature of 300C -1400C and pH from 7 to 13. The adjustment of pH of the reaction was done by using an inorganic acid, such as sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid.
The separation process of the product was conducted and the separated product was washed with water and 95% ethanol. The final step was to dry vaccum the final product under the condition of below 400C and 20 milibar pressure to obtain the creatine-monohydrate. The final form of the product would be a crystal white powder.
