Brief Overview

Zinc borate appears as a white crystalline or free-flowing powder that is insoluble in water. It has high heat stability with melting point of 980°C. It is mainly used as flame retardant filler in various types of polymers, such as in plastics, rubber, paint and other products. The most widely used zinc borate chemical in the industry is 3.5 water zinc, which is also known as ZB-2335 flame retardant.

Zinc Borate is produced through the reaction between zinc oxides with boric acid at 500-1000°C.
